What it is
ČAS (Česká agentura pro standardizaci, the Czech Standardization Agency) is Czechia’s national standards body, responsible for the Czech technical standards (ČSN) and the Czech adoptions of European (EN) and international standards. It is a state organisation established to manage standardisation.

Conformity in practice means applying the right standard, and ČAS is where you access the EN standards your product needs for the Czech market. A standard’s legal weight comes from being harmonised (cited in the Official Journal) for the applicable legislation.
