What it is
PKN (Polski Komitet Normalizacyjny, the Polish Committee for Standardization) is Poland’s national standards body and the Polish member of the European organisation CEN and the international body ISO. It develops Polish standards (PN) and publishes the Polish adoptions of European (EN) and international standards.

Conformity in practice means applying the right standard, and PKN is where you access and buy the EN standards your product needs for the Polish market. A standard’s legal weight comes from being harmonised (cited in the Official Journal) for the applicable legislation.
