What it is
MSZT (Magyar Szabványügyi Testület, the Hungarian Standards Institution) is Hungary’s national standards body and the Hungarian member of the European organisation CEN and the international body ISO. It develops Hungarian standards (MSZ) and publishes the Hungarian adoptions of European (EN) and international standards.
Why it matters for compliance
Conformity in practice means applying the right standard, and MSZT is where you access the EN standards your product needs for the Hungarian market. A standard’s legal weight comes from being harmonised (cited in the Official Journal) for the applicable legislation.

In Hungary, market surveillance of non-food products is handled by the Government Office of the Capital City Budapest — MSZT handles standards, not enforcement.
