What it is
ASRO (Asociația de Standardizare din România, the Romanian Standards Association) is Romania’s national standards body and the Romanian member of the European organisation CEN and the international body ISO. It publishes Romanian standards (SR) and the Romanian adoptions of European (EN) and international standards.
Why it matters for compliance
Conformity in practice means applying the right standard, and ASRO is where you access the EN standards your product needs for the Romanian market. A standard’s legal weight comes from being harmonised (cited in the Official Journal) for the applicable legislation.
