Transcript
The Lifts Directive governs the safety of lifts permanently serving buildings, and of the safety components placed on the market for them.
It applies to installers, who answer for the lift itself, to manufacturers of safety components, and to importers and distributors. Cableways and certain special lifts are excluded.
The recast Directive has applied since 20 April 2016, replacing Directive 95/16/EC, through the national law of each member state.
You meet the essential health and safety requirements of Annex I, complete a conformity assessment module with a notified body, keep technical documentation, draw up an EU declaration of conformity with CE marking and the notified body number, and supply traceability marks and installation, use and maintenance instructions.
Conphora maps your lifts and safety components against LiftD, flags gaps in conformity assessment, documentation, the declaration and CE marking, and alerts you when the rules change.
