Transcript
The Fertilising Products Regulation lets a fertilising product carry the CE mark and move freely across the EU; it is optional harmonisation, so national rules remain an alternative.
It applies to manufacturers, importers, distributors and authorised representatives of the products a manufacturer chooses to CE-mark, classified by function and by what they are made from.
Adopted in 2019, it has applied since 16 July 2022, replacing the old EC fertiliser regime, and its cadmium limit for phosphate fertilisers tightens stepwise over time.
You choose the CE route or national rules, identify the Product Function Category and meet its requirements, keep every ingredient within a permitted Component Material Category, respect the contaminant limits, complete the conformity module with a notified body where mandated, and draw up documentation, declaration, CE marking and labelling.
Conphora maps your products against FPR, flags gaps in classification, permitted materials, contaminant limits, conformity assessment and labelling, and alerts you when the limits or categories change.
