Transcript
The Tyre Labelling Regulation gives buyers standardised information on fuel efficiency, wet grip and noise at the point of sale, linked to the EPREL database.
It applies to suppliers, importers, distributors, and vehicle suppliers and dealers, for C1, C2 and C3 tyres. Retreaded and professional off-road tyres are outside its scope.
It has applied since 1 May 2021, replacing Regulation 1222/2009, with the new label design, the snow and ice icons, the QR code and the EPREL registration requirement.
You test and classify each tyre, register it in EPREL before sale, produce the standardised label with its QR code, show it at every point of sale including online, reproduce the classes in promotional material, and keep the documentation consistent with the measured performance.
Conphora maps your tyres against TLR, flags gaps in classification, EPREL registration, label content and point-of-sale display, and alerts you when the rules change.
