Transcript
GPSR is the EU's baseline safety law for consumer products: anything placed on the EU market must be safe, whether or not a sector rule also applies.
It applies to manufacturers, importers, distributors and online marketplaces, and to new, used, repaired and reconditioned products alike. Before sale there must be a responsible person established in the EU.
It applies from 13 December 2024, replacing the General Product Safety Directive, and as a regulation it applies directly in every member state.
You need a risk assessment and technical documentation, traceability marks with the manufacturer's and importer's details, instructions and warnings in the local language, and a process to report accidents through the Safety Business Gateway.
Conphora maps your products against GPSR, flags gaps in risk assessment, traceability, the responsible person and labelling, keeps the documentation, and alerts you when the rules change.
