Transcript
The Explosives Directive is the EU framework for explosives for civil uses, where product safety and security go together.
It applies to manufacturers, importers and distributors of explosives in UN Class 1. Pyrotechnic articles have their own directive, and military items are out of scope.
The recast Directive has applied since 20 April 2016, replacing Directive 93/15/EEC, through the national law of every member state you place explosives in or transfer them to.
You need conformity assessment with a notified body, technical documentation and an EU declaration of conformity, CE marking with the notified body number, a unique identification on every explosive and packaging unit, traceability records, and authorisation before transfers between member states.
Conphora maps your products against ExplD, flags gaps in conformity assessment, CE marking, unique identification, traceability and transfer controls, and alerts you when the rules change.
