# What Conphora is, and who it is for

> What the Conphora platform does, which companies it is built for, what it is not — a certification body or a legal adviser — and where the company is based.

## In short

Conphora is a compliance platform for companies that sell physical products in the EU: you upload your product data, the platform shows which EU regulations apply and what is missing, and you keep the documentation in one place. It is a decision-support tool, not a certification body and not legal advice.

- Built for manufacturers, importers and distributors of physical products, from a few products to thousands of SKUs.
- Conphora does not certify products and does not give legal advice; the compliance assessment stays yours.
- Conphora ApS is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

## What Conphora does

Conphora helps product companies check their products against the EU rules that apply to them. You upload your product data, the compliance engine classifies each product and matches it against the regulations for your markets, and you get a list of requirements per product with what is still missing. Documents — test reports, certificates, Declarations of Conformity — are held in the same place and linked to the requirements they fulfil.

Around the engine sit the tools (the Recall manager and the GreenWashing scanner), the Academy with its courses and certificates, and everything you can read without an account: the [regulation library](/regulations), the knowledge articles and the Compliance Radar. [How it works](/how-it-works) walks through the flow, and [What the free account includes, and what the subscription adds](/help/getting-started/free-account-vs-subscription) shows what sits at each access level.

## Who it is for

Conphora is for companies of every size that place physical products on the EU market — manufacturers, importers and distributors alike. It is most relevant when you sell consumer products, electronics, toys, lighting, connected (IoT) products, machinery or products that contain chemicals.
## Which regulations it covers

The regulations Conphora tracks are listed in the [regulation library](/regulations), one page per act — CE marking rules, REACH, RoHS, WEEE, the Low Voltage, EMC and Radio Equipment directives, the General Product Safety Regulation, the Batteries Regulation and more. The list grows as new acts are added; see [How the regulation pages and the Compliance Radar work](/help/regulations/regulation-pages-and-the-radar).

## What Conphora is not

Conphora is not a certification authority. It does not issue certifications, give legal advice or make binding compliance decisions. The platform helps you identify requirements, spot gaps and organise your documentation; the final compliance assessment is always your own responsibility, and you should use qualified advisers and notified bodies where the rules require them.

## Where Conphora is based, and in which languages

Conphora ApS is a Danish company based in Copenhagen. conphora.com is published in English and Danish, and in more European languages as they go live — the language switcher shows the ones available. Where your data is kept is described in [Where your data is hosted, and how it is protected](/help/getting-started/data-hosting-and-security).
