> Cookies and similar technologies on conphora.com, Conphora Academy and the Conphora platform

This page explains which cookies and similar technologies Conphora ApS ("Conphora", "we") uses on conphora.com, in Conphora Academy and on platform.conphora.com, and how you can control them.

### 1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) and tokens used to keep you signed in. Some are necessary for a site to work; others are used for statistics or marketing and require your consent.

### 2. Who sets cookies on our sites

Conphora (first-party cookies) and our authentication provider Clerk, which operates the sign-in for the Academy and the platform on our behalf. Clerk's hosted sign-in page (accounts.conphora.com) is protected by Cloudflare, which sets a short-lived security cookie there (section 3). No advertising networks set cookies on our sites, and our statistics service (Plausible Analytics, see section 4) sets no cookies either.

### 3. The cookies and storage we use

| Name | Set by | Purpose | Category | Duration |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `__session` | Clerk (on our domain) | Keeps you signed in to the Academy or the platform | Strictly necessary | Up to 7 days, renewed while active |
| `__client_uat` | Clerk | Records when your sign-in state last changed so pages can refresh it | Strictly necessary | Session / short-lived |
| `__clerk_db_jwt` | Clerk (sign-in domain) | Completes the sign-in handshake between the sign-in page and our site | Strictly necessary | Short-lived |
| `conphora_locale` | Conphora (shared across www.conphora.com and the platform) | Remembers the language you chose | Functional, set only when you pick a language; strictly necessary for that choice, no consent needed | 1 year |
| `plausible_ignore` | Conphora (browser storage) | Remembers that you chose to be excluded from our web statistics (section 5) | Functional, set only when you use the switch; no consent needed | Until you switch it back or clear your browser storage |
| `__cf_bm` | Cloudflare, for Clerk's hosted sign-in (accounts.conphora.com only) | Distinguishes people from automated traffic (bots) to protect the sign-in page | Strictly necessary for the security of the sign-in you request; no consent needed | 30 minutes |

We use **no statistics, analytics or marketing cookies**, and therefore show no consent banner. Our web statistics are collected with Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia; data processed in the EU on servers in Germany, Finland and Slovenia operated by Plausible's European providers), which sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Plausible processes your IP address and browser signature for a moment to count the visit, does not store them, and derives a daily identifier that is rotated every 24 hours and cannot be linked back to you; we receive only aggregated statistics. Because nothing is stored on your device and nothing is read from cookies or other stored information, the cookie rules (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and the Danish Cookie Order) do not apply to the statistics; the momentary processing rests on our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), as described in our [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy), and you can object to it at any time. Should we ever introduce marketing cookies, they will be set only after you have given consent in a banner, with an equally easy option to decline, and this page will be updated.

### 4. Third-party requests that are not cookies

Our pages send a page-view request to plausible.io (Plausible Analytics); it sets no cookie, reads nothing from your browser, and your IP address is not stored. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser sends its IP address to Google to fetch the font files; Google does not set cookies through this request. Signed-in pages exchange requests with Clerk to verify your session.

If you have subscribed to our newsletter and interest updates, the e-mails we send you contain a small open-tracking image and signed click links, so we can see whether an e-mail was opened and which links were used. They set no cookies and store nothing in your browser, but an open-tracking image in an e-mail is treated by the European Data Protection Board as covered by the same rule as cookies (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive). We therefore treat this measurement as part of what you agree to when you subscribe: it is described in the sign-up text, you can switch it off on the preferences page linked in every e-mail, and the confirmation e-mail never contains it. How we process the subscription is described in our [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy), section 4.

### 5. Excluding yourself from the statistics

You can object to the statistics at any time (GDPR Art. 21(1)). The quickest way is the switch on each of our sites: on www.conphora.com the switch at the end of this page, and on the platform (platform.conphora.com) the switch under Account settings → Data protection. Each switch stores the value `plausible_ignore` in your browser for that site, and Plausible then counts no page view or event from this browser on that site. Because your browser keeps this storage separately for each site (per origin), you make the choice on each site: a choice made on www.conphora.com does not apply on the platform, and a choice made on the platform does not apply on www.conphora.com. The choice applies only to the browser and device on which you made it; use the switch again to be counted again. You can also write to info@conphora.com.

### 6. How to control cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies prevents signing in to the Academy and the platform; the public website continues to work.

### 7. Contact and changes

Questions about cookies: info@conphora.com. We update this page when our use of cookies changes; the date above shows the latest version. See also our [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy).
